Severance

Emotions brimming,

Passions flooding,

The hearts were full.

Together they held it all in place.

It’s when the time for separation came,

Reality struck hard,

Ripping the tender hearts apart,

Leaving nothing but deep crevasses on either side,

Emotions and passions withheld thus far,

Gushed out in a plentiful stream

The much-endured sorrow turned into a trickle of tears,

Could neither be contained nor allowed to flow!

What misery! What pain! Yet that pleasure of reminiscing

Those sweet memories, that can never be real again!
